Presidency Explains Why Osinbajo Failed To Appear On Rubbin Minds

Laolu Akande, Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity to Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, has explained why his principal cancelled a scheduled interview in the last minute.

Osinbajo was scheduled to appear on Rubbin Minds, a one-hour Channels TV programme, where he would have been interviewed by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

The host of the program Ebuka around 3:00 pm announced that VP Osinbajo had cancelled the scheduled interview.

He tweeted:

“Due to some matters arising, our proposed guest @ProfOsinbajo, will no longer be appearing on #RubbinMinds today. Sincere apologies to our viewers. We will keep everyone posted on any future updates.”

Addressing the absence of Osinbajo, Mr Akande tweeted:

“Sincere apologies that VP Osinbajo cant make ‘Rubbing Minds’ this afternoon on Channels TV. Being a live programme, the exigencies of campaign timing make it impossible for VP to appear on show as scheduled today. We’re working with producers to reschedule his participation ASAP”.
