Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Bombs CJN Tanko, Praises Onnoghen In Latest Broadcast

The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says the suspension of Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) should unite those from South East and South-South, who he refers to as “Biafrans”.

Naija News had reported earlier that the President suspended Onnoghen on Friday and immediately appointed Tanko Mohammed as the acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Giving reasons for his decision in his speech which was obtained by Naija News, the President said there was an order from the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, asking him to wield the big stick.

President Buhari said the order demanded that the CJN be suspended depending on the determination of his ongoing trial at the tribunal.

Apparently displeased with the development, Kanu, who just relocated to the United Kingdom from Israel, took to the micro-blogging Twitter, to condemn Onnoghen’s suspension.

The IPOB leader wrote: “Fulani cabal with their Herdsmen, ISIS and Boko Haram must not be allowed to conquer us. Let Justice Onnoghen’s humiliation unite us as one Biafran family,” he tweeted on Saturday morning.

Kanu is leading a group seeking secession from Nigeria. The group has since been proscribed by the Nigerian government.
