EFCC Begins Investigation On Sacked Tetfund Boss, Bichi Baffa

The Economic Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has commenced an investigation on the sacked Executive Secretary of TETFund, Dr. Abdullahi Bichi Baffa, over allegations of corruption while he led the agency, Naija News has learnt.  Recall that following Bichi’s sack, the federal government on Tuesday this week, appointed Suleiman Bogoro in his place as the new secretary.

PDP Governor Seeking Second Term, Donates N5m To APC Candidate For Gubernatorial Campaigns

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, who is also seeking a second term in office on the platform of the PDP, yesterday pledged a donation of N5 million to support his rival in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Sonni Ogbuoji.  According to Umahi, the money is to enable Ogbuoji repair his campaign posters and billboards across the state ahead of the governorship elections.

N27,000 Minimum Wage: NLC Holds Emergency Meeting Today

The Organised Labour will hold an emergency National Executive Council meeting today to decide whether it will accept the N27,000 minimum wage approved by the Council of State on Tuesday.

This is just as the bill passed the first and second readings at the Senate on Thursday just hours after President Muhammadu Buhari transmitted the draft legislation to the lawmakers, Naija News reports.

Hassan Bashir Is The New Chairman Of National Population Commission

The President Muhammadu Buhari administration has approved the appointment of Alhaji Hassan Bashir as the acting Executive Chairman of the National Population Commission.

A statement signed by the Director General of the Commission, Dr. Ghaji Ismaila Bello, today in Abuja, showed that the appointment was conveyed in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
