What Atiku Said About APC In Imo State

Presidential Candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for February elections, Atiku Abubakar, has described the ruling All Progressives Congress as an evil party that is determined to sink Nigeria.

He made this allegation while speaking at the South-East PDP presidential rally which held in Owerri, the Imo State capital yesterday.

Atiku equally accused President Muhammadu Buhari of not campaigning but plotting to rig the February 16 election.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari did not attend the Presidential Debate organized by NEDG while Atiku showed presence and left the venue without debating, a move that left many Nigerians disappointed, Naija News reports.

While the President explained that he missed the debate because of his “busy and hectic official and campaign schedules,” Atiku noted that he could not attend a debate when Buhari was not there.

His statement said,  “…I can not challenge or question an administration where the man at the helm of the affairs of the nation is not present to defend himself or his policies. This has also caused many to criticize him (Atiku) and question his intention for Nigerians.

However, In his campaign speech in Imo State, Atiku said,  “We have promised jobs for our young men and women knowing full well that the APC party has turned the country into poverty.”

“PDP has promised to get the economy working again. We mean everything we say.”

“The reason we are here is that the PDP will take over Imo State. We will take over Aso Rock. They are not campaigning, they only want to rig. We will resist them.”

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who was also in his company, said, Atiku was ready and prepared to lead Nigeria.

He described Atiku as a man who had the capacity and will to “unite the country again.”

In the same vein, vice presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, urged the people of the South-East zone to vote for Atiku because he would fix the economy and get the country on track again.
