Buhari Responds To Obasanjo’s Criticism
President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday, has criticized former president Olusegun Obasanjo for lunching a fresh attack on his government. Earned Allowance: ASUU Insists On Proof Of Payment To End Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says the government must show proof of payment of at least N50 billion revitalisation funds for it to consider suspending the on-going strike. ASUU President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, made this known to newsmen on Sunday in Ibadan ahead the union’s meeting with the Federal Government on Monday.

President Muhammadu Buhari will not share Nigeria’s commonwealth among his family and friends when elected for second term, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo assures. The vice president gave this assurance during an event organised by Christian Youths in Lagos State, under the aegis of the GRILL, Ikeja Branch, at the Podium Events Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
Obasanjo Blasts Osinbajo Over Trader Moni, Calls Scheme ‘Idiotic Programme’
Former Nigeria’s President Olusegun Obasanjo has Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo over the “suspect timing” of the implementation of the Trader Moni scheme. The government of Borno State has declared Monday, Public holiday in preparation for the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressive Party’s (APC) campaign to the state. The state’s declaration of Monday as a work-free day for the President’s re-election campaign, was announced on Sunday by the Commissioner of Information, Dr. Mohammed Bulama.
IGP Cautions Reckless Political Actors Ahead Of Elections
The Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Mohammed Adamu, has ordered members of the force to remain firm and determined to maintain peace in the upcoming elections in February and March of this year. The IGP, who was appointed last week, said that as the country’s first election administration body, it pledged to take power to provide professional and rigorous policing services to all the citizens of the country.
