A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, restrained President Muhammadu Buhari and AGF from removing the CJN, Justice Walter Onnoghen.

The restraining order was granted by Justice Inyang Ekwo, during the hearing and determination of the suit filed by Action Peoples Party.

Naija News recalls that the Federal Government through the Code of Conduct Bureau filed six counts of non-declaration of assets against the CJN on Friday.

The court adjourned the hearing of the motion on notice to the 29th of January with an order to parties to maintain the status quo ante.

The Federal High Court in Abuja had previously stopped the Federal Government from proceeding with the arraignment of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.
