Lai Mohammed Accuse Opposition Parties Of Trying To Erupt Crises

The Federal Government has alleged that the opposition political parties are busy mobilising bandits and members of Boko Haram in order to cause crises ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

It further alleged that the plan included planned attacks on some state governors as well.

Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made the allegations during a press briefing in Abuja today.

Among the states which he alleged were being marked for attack included Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Kano, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kaduna and Zamfara States.

Naija News reports that among the northern states, Borno State which has been at the centre of Boko Haram attacks, received Buhari today as he visited to campaign for re-election ahead of the elections.

The President is also expected in Yobe state today where he would hand over the party flag to the APC candidate in the state.

Meanwhile, as earlier reported, the Nigerian Army on Sunday, foiled an attempt by Boko Haram terrorists to launch an attack on a military base in Buni Yadi, Yobe state.
