BREAKING: DSS Operatives Drag IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu To Court

The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has reiterated members of his group and all “Biafrans” will boycott next month’s general elections.

Kanu who reechoed this statement in a tweet said Governors Okezie Ikpazu of Abia state (where Kanu is from), said Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state and “all supporters of Operation Python Dance must leave office”.

The IPOB leader maintained that “Biafrans” will continue to boycott every general election until a referendum is conducted for the emergence of Biafra Republic.

Kanu tweeted: “As stated in my last broadcast, Okezie Ikpazu, Dave Umahi and all supporters of Operation Python Dance must leave office. We Biafrans will continue to boycott every general election until referendum is conducted. #Boycott2019Election,” the tweet added.

Naija News reports that Kanu’s statement is coming a few days after he said members of his group will participate in the forthcoming governorship elections in Abia and Ebonyi state.

Kanu who made this comment during a live interactive broadcast on radio Biafra last week Saturday which was monitored by Naija News said this became imperative in order to vote out Ikpeazu and Umahi whom he described as “enemies of Biafra”.

Giving reasons for his decision on the participation of his group in the forthcoming election, Kanu had said: “Because we said we are not going to vote doesn’t mean we can’t mobilise to have you voted out. That’s what will happen in Abia and Ebonyi. Perhaps if we keep quiet all the time, they’ll think, since they’re not going to vote does it really matter?

“But we have a very special programme for Abia and Ebonyi. They’ll find it difficult. The day people will realise the damage people like Umahi are doing to our people, they will understand why we must get rid of them in the corridors of power,” the IPOB leader had added.
