PDP Accuses APC Of Planning To Embarrass Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party has alleged fresh plots by the All Progressives Congress to frame Alh. Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate.

A statement signed on Wednesday, 16th January by Kola Ologbondiyan, Director, Media & Publicity, PDP Presidential Campaign Organization and made available to Naija News, accused the APC of planning to heap gun running allegations on Atiku.

The statement further alleged that some conniving security agents have been put on alert to carry out the plans.

“The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organization (PPCO) alerts of plots by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to frame the PDP Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and heap allegations of gun running on him.”

“The PPCO says intelligence available to it shows that agents of the APC have already perfected plots to brand some vehicle with Atiku Abubakar campaign colours, laden them with arms and ammunition and take them to Atiku Abubakar’s home in Abuja and Adamawa, where conniving security agents will pounce on them to embarrass our candidate on trumped up charges of gun running.”

“The PPCO condemns the plot in totality and urge Nigerians to note that APC has become frenetic and increasingly vicious in its desperation to smear our candidate ahead of the 2019 Presidential election.”

“We therefore call on all Nigerians to be at alert and continue to be wary of the malicious activities of the APC and the Buhari Presidency, who, in the despondency of their imminent and inevitable defeat at the Presidential poll, have sold their souls to mischief,” Ologbondiyan said in the statement.

The PDP also urged Nigerians to be alert to malicious activities by certain politicians as the general elections draw nearer.

“Finally, the PPCO says Nigerians now know who to hold responsible should any harm befall Atiku Abubakar, who they have attained a consensus to vote in, as the next President of our country, come February, 2019.”
