Revealed: FG Has Borrowed Over N6tr From Pension Funds

The Federal Government has borrowed about N6.16 trillion out of the N8.49 trillion pension assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme.   Naija News learnt that these figures were released by the National Pension Commission (NPC) on Tuesday in Abuja, revealing the FG’s borrowing represents 73.5 percent of the pension fund.

The monarch of Iworoko Ekiti, Oba Michael Oluwafemi Aladejana, has passed away few days after 15 person were reported killed in an auto crash in Irepodun/Ifelodun local government area of the state.

The king died at the early hour of Wednesday at an undisclosed hospital in Ado Ekiti, the capital city. The deceased king is ranked second class in Ekiti traditional hierarchical order.

FG To Freeze Onnoghen’s Bank Accounts As Trial Continues

Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) has been asked to freeze five bank accounts belonging to Walter Onnoghen, chief justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation, who explained that the demand was based on a presidential executive order, gave the directive pending the determination of the case against Onnoghen at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
