Not less than three persons have met their untimely death in a ghastly road accident which occurred around Olokuta axis on Ondo -Akure road.

The accident, which occurred around 8am today (Wednesday), involved a black Toyota corolla with number plate FGB 940 AA and a blue truck with number plate LND 274XP .

The two vehicles were in a head-on collision.

According to an eyewitness, the accident was caused by the driver of the car who was on top speed.

The victims in the ill fated crash include a man, a woman and a boy who are suspected to be members of the same family.

This occurrence is almost a twin to the one that occurred in Ekiti State recently, where more than ten persons, including a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, were reportedly crushed to death by a truck conveying branded rice on Saturday at Iworoko-Ekiti in the Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
