Just In: Rate Of Inflation Increases, Hits 11.44%

CPI Measures Inflation At 11.44%

The consumer price index, (CPI) which measures inflation increased by 11.44 percent (year-on-year) in December 2018.

This was contained in the December 2018 CPI/Inflation report released by the National Bureau of Statistics released today, all the divisions that contribute to headline index increased.

Recall that CPI, had measured inflation to be at 11.26% in October from 11.28% recorded in September last year.

This is even as prices of food increased in four states of the country between September and October, 2018.
