Video Of Attack By Suspected Political Thugs On Saraki’s Home In Ilorin

The All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party have continued to trade blames over the recent attacks in Kwara State which occurred last week.

Recall that as earlier published by Naija News, the attacks occurred in Agbaji area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, where the family home of Senate President, Bukola Saraki is located.

In his reaction, Saraki blamed the APC for the attacks, further alleging that the police assisted them in carrying out the attacks.

He said the thugs, “shielded by policemen went to my family quarters in Agbaji in Ilorin and vandalized houses, shops and inflicted wounds with machetes on three people.”

“All these destruction took place in the presence of policemen who came with them but watched without any care, as the APC thugs and supporters unleashed violence on our people.

“For me, personally, I believe the decision to attack people and properties in my family ancestral compound is a direct affront and attack on my person.

“And whatever signal these APC elements with support from the police believe they are sending is definitely sinister, uncivilized and unfortunate.”

However, a chieftain of the APC in the state, Bolarinwa Bashir, said the attacks were carried out by the political thugs loyal to the opposition.

He said they started with throwing stones, before increasing in number and launching full scale attacks.
