Ekiti Mishap: FRSC Confirms 14 Dead, Five Injured

The Ekiti State command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has confirmed through it commander, that 14 persons lost their lives, while 5 others sustained various degrees of injuries injured in the truck accident at Iworoko Ekiti on Saturday.

Mr Kugu Ismaila, the sector commander told newsmen that three vehicles, a truck, and two minibuses, were involved in the road crash.

The commender revealed that the accident occurred after when the driver of the truck lost control of his vehicle and rammed into a busy market.

He said: “This would be the most fatal accident recorded in the new year and recent times.”

The commander prayed that God would grant the relatives of the deceased the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

He also used the opportunity to admonished drivers to abide by all safety rules to avoid any form of accident.
