The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, commiserates with Nasarawa State and it’s people over the death of the Emir of Lafia, Alhaji Isa Mustapha Agwai.
The Governor in his statement describes the demise of Alhaji Agwai as a painful and unfortunate loss.
While speaking about the late Emir of Lafia, who died at age 84, he described him as a compassionate leader and father to all.
The Governor recalls the contributions of Alhaji Agwai to peace-building between border communities of Benue and Nasarawa States.
He says the late Emir will be remembered for providing good leadership and impacting positively on the lives of his people during his 44-year reign.
Governor Ortom sympathizes with the Agwai family, the Lafia Emirate Council and prays that God grants the departed ruler eternal rest.
