Former Liverpool player, Philippe Coutinho, who was signed in a deal worth 160 million Euro, has being experiencing tough time in his new club, Barcelona.

Coutinho, has struggled to fit into the tactical plan of the club’s manager, Ernesto Valverde.

He was signed to Camp Nou after Andres Iniesta decided to leave the club, placing before him a huge shoe to fill.

Just few months after he was signed to Barcelona, English premier league side, Manchester United, has shown interest in the playmaker.

Coutinho has only started in nine La Liga matches and last featured for his side in October, when the Catalans defeated Real Madrid 5-1.

There has being more challenge for the player at the club upon the arrival of Ousmane Dembele, who has provided three goals and two assists in his last six games, thereby pushing himself into permanent first team spot.

Director of the club, Guillermo Amor, while speaking with Movistar said, “Coutinho’s a player with a lot of experience, one of the best players in Europe and he is ready to play [for] five minutes or 90 minutes,”

“He’s always played well for Barca, he could play [every game] from the off. Barca signed him because he’s one of the best in the world and he’s going to give us a lot.

“He’s got many years left on his contract and a lot to give to Barcelona.”

There is no doubt that at his best, and in the right team, Coutinho can offer a great deal. He showed as much in his first six months at Barca.
