Nnamdi Kanu: You Can't Intimidate Us, Stop Open Display Of Hatred For Igbos - IPOB Fires Back At Buhari

The leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to correctly name ministries in the country during an interview with Arise Television.

Naija News reports that Arise Television aired the President’s interview on Monday, where he responded to allegations of marginalisation of the Igbo in his appointments.

During the interview, President Buhari said he has been fair to the people from South East in terms of appointments despite the low number of votes he received from the region during the 2015 elections.

The President had said: “Somebody made an observation (and I made it clear for the first time) that I was not patronising the Igbo from the south-east. I took the paper from him, I told him that when I won the election, I studied the amount of votes I got from all the geopolitical zones.

“I said I got 198,000 something from the whole of the south-east; 198, 000 which virtually any local government can give me. But I appointed ministers of foreign affairs, minister of labour, minister of industries and investment, minister of mines and tech.

“But these four, I never knew them from Adam. But from seven states of the north, I have ministers of states, they are under these ministers. How fair do you want me to be?

“So I threw him away with his paper,” President Buhari had added.

However, while making reference to the people from South East that he has appointed as ministers, the President named “Mines and Tech” as a ministry in Nigeria but was aptly corrected by a journalist who said “Science and Tech”.

Reacting to the interview, Kanu took to the micro-blogging site, Twitter to once again echo that the President is an impostor, adding that the “late” Buhari was familiar with his key ministries.

Kanu tweeted: “In the heavily edited and fraudulent interview, @NGRPresident (Jubril) couldn’t name his ministries. Help from journalist that there’s no Mines & Tech but Science & Tech, fell on deaf ears. Dead Buhari was dumb but he knew his key ministries? #UnmaskJubril.”

Naija News reports that since Kanu resurfaced in Jerusalem in Israel last year October, he has been alleging that President Buhari is an impostor whose real name is Jubril Al-Sudani from Sudan, an allegation which the President had since debunked.

Kanu is leading a group seeking secession from Nigeria. The group has since been proscribed by the Nigerian government.
