Former YBNL Singer, Viktor, Allegedly Beaten By Police

According to news making rounds on social media former YBNL singer, Viktoh, was allegedly beaten by Police officers.

Report revealed that the incident happened, yesterday, at Alpha Beach Road Igbo Efon, Lekki, while he was on his way to the African shrine for rapper Zlatan’s concert.

The incident left the singer seriously injured and in the picture that was released his face could be seen disfigured.

However, there has been no reason stated on why the singer was assaulted.

Nigerians have taken to social media to call out the Nigerian Police Force for their action, while some stated that they are not protecting the citizen but assaulted them.

Witness Gives Another Account Of Mercy Johnson’s Daughter Bullying, Makes Shocking Accusation

A social media user said to be a school teacher has shared another version of the alleged bullying of Mercy Johnson’s daughter.

Recall that Naija News earlier reported that Mercy Johnson had taken to her Instagram account to condemn the act of a teacher in her new school who was constantly bullying her daughter Purity.

She complained that the teacher did not like her and was taking out her dislike on her daughter. She asked that the school authorities deal with the matter accordingly and make sure the issue was resolved.

However, an Instagram user identified as thenancychidera who seemed to have been present when the issue occurred has given a very different account of the matter.

She stated that Mercy’s daughter twisted the arm of another student and when the headteacher got wind of the matter she demanded that Purity apologize to the other student but she refused and allegedly stated that she was not raised that way. After a lengthy persuasion, Purity later apologized.

Thenancychidera went ahead to explain that Mercy came to the school that afternoon and wrecked havoc asking her daughter to hit teacher and students as she pleased.

She also sent for her husband who came with three heavily built body guards to the school to beat up the headteacher.

She stated that the teacher did not respond to Mercy as it was her word against hers and allegedly cried while the whole incident was going on.

Mercy Johnson Cries Out, Accuses Teacher Of Bullying Her Child, Seeks Justice

Nollywood Actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie has condemned the actions of a teacher who constantly bullies her daughter in her new school.

The mother of four took to her Instagram account to question if it is a crime to be the daughter of Mercy Johnson-Okojie. She went ahead to state that she takes her job as a mother quite seriously and does not tolerate anyone hating on her kids simply because she is their mother.

Mercy explained that she always insist her children uphold qualities such as politeness and kindness while also teaching them not to be intimated by anyone and to always speak up when they are treated unjustly.

After explaining the moral yardstick with which she raised her kids the Nollywood actress went on to call out a teacher in her daughter’s school which she refuse to name.

She explained how the teacher who is not her daughter’s class teacher often goes to her daughter, Purity’s class and flick her hair with a pen while telling her she does not like her mother and her believes that celebrity children are often Ill mannered.

Mercy said Purity began reporting the teacher to her but she felt she was exaggerating, the abuse continued and it got so bad her daughter began to hate going to school.

The actress went on to reveal that she realized how grievous the abuse was when she went to pick her daughter in school and met her crying.

Purity had been shoved by a student and she had done the same but the said teacher choose to discipline only her daughter.

Mercy went ahead to report the issue to the school authorities and they said the matter would be handled and she is currently waiting for the outcome.

DSS Releases Veteran Actor Chiwetalu Agu

The Department of State Services (DSS) has released veteran Nollywood actor, Chiwetalu Agu from its custody.

The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, made this known in a statement made available to Naija News on Tuesday.

Rollas said that the veteran actor was released after due consultation with the DSS, and was received by him and a colleague, Steve Eboh, at the DSS headquarters.

He added that the elated veteran Actor thanked God for surviving the ordeal and commended the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria for their relentless efforts in securing his release.

The statement reads: “On behalf of the Guild, I was at the DSS office with my colleague, the Senior Special Assistant on Military Affairs and Inter-Governmental Relations to the AGN President Steve Eboh to receive Mr. Agu today.

”The elated veteran Actor thanked God for surviving the ordeal and commended the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria headed by Ejezie Emeka Rollas for their relentless efforts in securing his release from the detention.”

Recall that the Nigerian Army arrested Agu last week around Upper Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra State, for reportedly wearing a Biafra outfit while distributing bread and other items to the poor.

The actor was accused by the army of soliciting support for the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The Nigerian Army thereafter handed him over to the secret police for investigation and prosecution.

A relative of the actor, who spoke to The Punch on the condition of anonymity, said Agu had been flown to Abuja and denied access to his relatives.
