The office of the President has reversed itself on the inclusion of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote in the All Progressives Congress, APC, 2019 presidential campaign council list.

Mr. Femi Adesina, the Senior Special Advicer to the President on Media and Publicity had, on Friday, included the name of the billionaire in the list.

Naija News recall that the Presidential campaign council list had President Muhammadu Buhari and Bola Ahmed Tinubu as co-chairmen, with other APC heavyweights including Adams Oshiomhole, Femi Otedola, Godswill Akpabio having a place in the council.

However, in another Press statement released on Friday night by Femi Adesina, the Presidency said that Aliko Dangote was not a member of the campaign council.

According to the statement, Dangote cannot be a member of the campaign council because he is not a card carrying member of the party.

The statement reads, “It has become imperative to further clarify the status of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, named under the sub-head ADVISORY MEMBERS in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council announced on Friday, December 28, 2018.

“Africa’s richest man, not being a card-carrying member of APC, cannot, and is not member of the PCC.
“He is also a member of the Peace Committee, and thus cannot be in a partisan campaign council.”
