Police Arrests Vandals Of Enugu Games Village



The Enugu State Police Command, on Wednesday, said that it has arrested eight suspected vandals of installations and building materials within the Awgu Games Village of the State Ministry of Youths and Sports.

SP Ebere Amaraizu, The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), revealed that the suspected criminals were apprehended on December 17 at about 9:30 p.m.

The spokesperson of the command, said that the arrest was made by police detectives from the Awgu Division, following a raid.

He added that intelligent reports from concerned individual made concerning the activities of the suspects lately, instigated the raid.

“They were nabbed with their two vehicles alongside other vandalised and stolen materials from the Games Village.

“A full scale investigation has commenced into the alleged incident.

“The suspects are currently helping police operatives in their investigation,’’ Amaraizu said in a statement.
