Man Allegedly Steals Two Cows Worth N300,000

A 33 year old man, Sani Habibu, was on Wednesday remanded by a Senior Magistrates’ Court sitting in Kano State, for stealing two cows valued at #300,000.

Habibu, who lives at Hausawa Quarters Kano, was charged by the police with theft. Senior Magistrate Aminu Fagge , who gave the order, adjourned the case until January 2, 2019 for mention.

The court was told by the Prosecutor, ASP Yusuf Sale, that one Ibrahim Salisu of Rimin Kebe Quarters, Kano, reported the case at Filin Hockey Police Station, Kano on December 16.

He said that the accused around 3pm stole the complainant’s two cows valued at N300,000 at Rimin Kebe Quarters.

According to the prosecutor, the offence contravened section 286 of the penal code.The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
