Facebook Office: Employees Evacuated Following A Bomb Threat

Earlier today, New York police received an anonymous bomb threat on Facebook’s office in Menlo Park, California. She immediately warned the local authorities.

Facebook explain that “the San Mateo County deminers were sent with explosive detection dogs. They swept the building and found no suspicious packages or devices. ” Tuesday night, the police finally declared the building secure and authorized the return of employees.

According to the police, the evacuation involved a three-story annex building on the campus, but not the “headquarters”. For his part, the company spokesman said “some” buildings were evacuated.

“We are working closely with local authorities to investigate this threat and continue to monitor the situation,” says Genevieve Grdina (Facebook / Instagram spokesperson).
