2019: Atiku Abubakar Holds Emergency Meeting With CUPP Leadership In Abuja

Atiku, PDP Strategize Ahead Of 2019

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, as well as the leadership of the party’s campaign council are reportedly in a meeting with members of the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP).

According to Channels Television, the meeting is holding at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja and is meant strategise ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Naija News recalls the CUPP leadership recently endorsed Atiku as its presidential candidate for 2019 although some parties that make up the CUPP have since pulled out of such endorsement.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, who spoke with the group, reportedly asked them to remain resolute and take a position with INEC on the 2018 electoral bill.

It was further gathered that Saraki urged the political parties to add their voices and demand that the APC-led federal government conduct a free, fair and credible election in 2019.
