Deji Adeyanju Regains Freedom On Bail

Coordinator of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, who is also a political activist, has been granted bail by a Chief Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja over alleged cyber offences.

Magistrate Idiat Akanni on Thursday as part of the bail conditions, also ordered Adeyanju to produce two sureties and N500, 000 bail bonds.

The magistrate in her ruling, said the sureties must be civil servants of not less than Grade Level 12, and must produce an utility bill.

Naija News recalls Adeyanju was picked up after initially been released from a Keffi prison following his arrest for leading a protest against the Nigerian police whom he accused of been partisan ahead of the 2019 elections.

Cyber stalking, inciting disturbance and joint act of criminal defamation were some of the charges levelled against Adeyanju before a Magistrate Court in Karshi, Abuja by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
