Sen. Sonni Ogbuoji, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s poll in Ebonyi state, has pledged to restate staff of the state university who were sacked by the school management.

Sen. Ogbuoji who is currently representing Ebonyi South Senatorial District, also promised to pay the four years promotion arrears, pension, gratuity owned to workers in the state and as well, pay the new minimum wage if voted in as the governor of the state.

The APC guber candidate, who condemned the ill action of the state PDP-led government over the present sack in the university, described it as man’s inhumanity to man.

He disclosed this during a press conference held at his campaign office along the Abakaliki-Enugu highway today.

Daily Trust reports that 70 percent of the sacked workers were mostly those in the security unit of the university.

“That is man’s inhumanity to man [sack of the staff] my brother and I want to assure you that we shall bring back those sacked workers, we will bring them back, we shall not sack any”, he stated.
