Lady Implicates Aisha Buhari’s Sister, Babachir Lawal In N50 Million Fraud

A woman simply identified as Amina Mohammed caused a scene at the Department of State Security DSS office,  Abuja earlier today.

Naija News learnt that the lady accused of impersonation of the first lady, Aisha Buhari, shocked the press and DSS officials when she mentioned the sister of the first lady and ex-SGF, Babachir lawal, an accomplice of fraud.

President Buhari assures that he did not die and was not replaced by a double

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari tried to dispel rumors that he allegedly died and was replaced by a double. In social networks earlier it was suggested that instead of a real president, a certain Sudanese man named Jubril appears before the public.

75-year-old Buhari intends to participate in the presidential elections in February 2019, but since 2015 he has experienced serious health problems. In 2017, he went to Britain for three months, taking sick leave.

Boko Haram: Defence Minister Orders Buratai To Remain In North-East Until Security Improves

The Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, has ordered the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, to remain in the North-east until security situation in the region improves.

The spokesperson of the minister, Tukur Gusau, who made this known  in a statement yesterday said that Mr Dan-Ali gave the directive when he met with the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs in his office.

Nigerian Army Approves Promotion Of Senior Officers

The Army Council has on Monday 3rd December 2018, approved the promotion of some senior officers of the Nigerian Army to the ranks of Major Generals, Brigadier Generals, Colonels and a Lieutenant Colonel, respectively.

A breakdown of those that benefited from the promotion according to a statement made available to Naija News by Brigadier General Sani Usman, Director Army Public Relations, shows that 29 Brigadier Generals were promoted to the rank of Major Generals, 95 Colonels to Brigadier Generals, 106 Lieutenant Colonels to Colonels and one Major to Lieutenant Colonel, respectively.

Deji Adeyanju Released From Prison And Immediately Re-arrested

Borno APC chieftain asks court to cancel governorship primaries

Alhaji Idris Mamman, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Borno on Tuesday, filed a case before in a Federal High Court, Maiduguri, seeking  the nullification of the governorship primaries election in the state.

2019: Buhari Support Groups Declare Support For PDP And Atiku Abubakar

Ahead of the upcoming 2019 general elections, some support groups of the president, Muhammadu Buhari, have declared support for candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

At an elaborate event at Ajuji hotel, Gudu district of Abuja on Monday evening, the groups said their decision to dump Mr Buhari and the All Progressives Congress(APC) was due to “marginalization and deliberate impoverishment”.

President Buhari Expresses Concern, Call For Calm After Deadly Violence In Cross River State

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed concern over reports of violence in four communities in Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State resulting in loss of lives, injuries and displacement of villagers.

Calling for calm and restoration of peace in the affected communities bordering Abia State, the President in a statement through Mallam Garba Shehu, his senior special assistant, media and publicity, urged the people of the areas to allow law and order to prevail.
