Everton head coach, Marco Silva, has stated why his side lost to Liverpool in the 1-0 encounter on Sunday. Divock Origi’s late goal gave Liverpool victory at Anfield.
Silva in his statement claimed that the Reds defeated Everton because it was a lucky day for them, he added that they didn’t deserve to win.
He, however, played down the significance of Klopp’s celebrations.
“It was a lucky day for Liverpool because they didn’t deserve to win,’’ Silva was quoted by NAN as saying at after the match.
“In the second half we started to control the match on the field and we didn’t deserve this result, it should have been a draw.
“I didn’t see Klopp run on the pitch, if he did run on the pitch in the moment, I wouldn’t see it as disrespectful.’’
Everton will next play against Newcastle on Wednesday.
