1. President Buhari cancels casual leave in honour of Nigerian soldiers

President Muhammadu Buhari, in an act of respect for victims of Boko Haram attacks across the battlefields in the Northeast zone of the country has cancelled his planned five-day “casual leave’’.

According to the presidency, The president had planned to spend the casual leave at his home country, Daura, Katsina State from Nov. 27 to Dec. 2.

2. I have not dumped APC for another party – Okorocha

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, has declared his allegiance to President Muhammadu Buhari and his re-election bid, insisting that he is still a member of the All Progressive Congress.

The governor, who describe President Buhari re-election as incontestable and unshakable, said this on Tuesday at the Government House, Owerri, during a media parley.

3. Olisah Metuh says EFCC has frozen all his accounts

A former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh has announced that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have frozen his bank accounts.

Metuh, who is facing a seven-count of‎ criminal breach of trust and money laundering to the tune of N400 million, said at the Abuja federal high court on Tuesday, that he no longer has the means to feed his family because of the restriction placed on his account by the anti-graft agency.

4. Ohanaeze calls for sack of service chiefs over killing of soldiers

The apex Igbo youth body, Ohanaeze Youth Council, has admonished President Muhammadu Buhari to rise to the duty he was elected to carry out and put an end to the continued killing and kidnapping of innocent citizens in Nigeria.

The group urged further that current security chiefs be sent on compulsory retirement over alleged misappropriation of fund meant to combat terrorism in the country.

5. Security operatives take over Akwa Ibom state house of assembly again

Security operatives have on Tuesday, taken over the premises of the Akwa Ibom state house of assembly few days after the siege was lifted.

The taking over follows the eruption of violence and pandemonium as various factions of lawmakers tried to take control of the legislative chambers.

6. Kachikwu says Nigerian refineries can’t be ready in 2019 as promised

The Nigerian Minister Of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu has revealed that the plans by the Nigerian government to fix Nigeria’s moribund refineries and make them work in utmost capacity has once again been postponed until 2020.

Mr Kachikwu spoke in Lagos on Monday at the 18th edition of the International Biennial Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Conference on the oil and gas industry in Nigeria organised by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).

7. Kwankwaso reveals that he had prior knowledge of Ganduje bribery videos

Former governor of Kano State and senator representing Kano central, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, says he had prior knowledge of the bribery video allegations against Governor Ganduje.

According to him, he pleaded with those responsible for the video not to release the video but they ignored him and went ahead to release the clips.

8. Gboyega Oyetola takes over from Aregbesola as Osun state governor

Alh. Gboyega Oyetola has on Tuesday, 27th November, 2018 been sworn in as the executive governor of Osun state.

He takes over from Mr. Rauf Aregbesola to whom he was chief of staff after completing 8 years in office as a governor.

9. EFCC denies receiving N10m donation from Ganduje

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said it did not receive the N10 million donation from Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state.

Ganduje had according to a statement by his spokesperson, Aminu Yassar announced the donation when he received members of the organising committee of an anti-corruption marathon programme in Abuja.

10. Rep member volunteers to lead task force to fight Boko Haram in Sambisa forest

A member of the House of Representatives, Muhammed Kazaure Gudaji, has volunteered to lead a special delegation to fight Boko Haram terrorists in Sambisa forest.

The member, who represents Kazaure/Roni/Gwiwa Constituency of Jigawa State, said he is a professional hunter, familiar with all the nooks and crannies of the dreaded forest.
