Defection Hit APC Again

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has just lost two of its members in the House of Representatives who dumped the party today (Thursday).

Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, read the letters on the floor of the house during plenary on Thursday.

The concerned lawmakers are Ahmed Abu (Niger State) and Stephen Olemija (Ondo State) who both announced their defections to the Social Democratic Party and the Action Alliance, respectively.

The two lawmakers blamed the conduct and outcome of the APC primaries in their respective states for their decision to dump the party.

On his part, Abu specifically submitted that the primaries conducted by the APC in Niger “has left a bitter pill in my mouth.”

Naija News recalls that two members of the House of Representatives on Wednesday, also announced their decision to dump the APC for other parties.

The APC has already constituted reconciliatory committees to look into the grievances of members caused by the recently concluded party primaries in several states.
