Emery Supports Replacement Of Injured Danny Welbeck

Arsenal head coach, Unai Emery has recognized Lille striker, Nicolas Pepe as a replacement for Danny Welbeck at the club and has given the club the permission to sign the 27 million Euro worth player.

Welbeck suffered an injury during Arsenal’s 0-0 game against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League encounter earlier this month, Naija News recalls.

The England international landed awkwardly after leaping in the air to meet a cross just after the half hour mark against Sporting, and needed oxygen before being stretchered off the pitch.

According to The Times, Emery has given the green light to Arsenal’s move for Pepe.

Report revealed that Lille player would worth a fee of around 27million Euro, however Arsenal will battle out with Tottenham Hotspur who also have also shown interest in the striker.

Pepe has scored eight goals and provided five assists so far in his thirteen Ligue 1 matches for Lille this term.
