It's Left For Tinubu To Allow Him - Shehu Sani Identifies Politician Trying To Cause Crisis In Nigeria

Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central has praised the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over the commencement of indefinite strike.

The lawmaker while reacting to the proposed indefinite strike through his twitter handle said that

I share the belief that ASUU strike is a peaceful & justifiable action to save public universities in Nigeria. At 70$ per barrel,Nigeria can afford to adequately fund public univ.Elites in power who can afford to educate their wards abroad, should have some honour.

It will be recalled that Naija News had earlier reported that  Abiodun Ogunyemi, national president of ASUU, directed all members of the union across various universities to embark on indefinite strike based on the poor funding of universities in the country and failure on the side of the government to honour the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the union and the federal government in 2017.

Ogunyemi said all appeal made to the federal government to honour the agreement with the union fell on deaf ears, saying they had no other alternative but to begin the strike.
