Buhari Meets With South-South Governors In Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari has met, on Tuesday, with governors of four Niger Delta states at the Presidential Villa In Abuja.

The governors, who are with the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) met with the president shortly after the president came back from his visit to the crisis torn communities in Kaduna State.

The governors in attendance included Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State; Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State; Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.

He, however, did not give details of the issues discussed. “My colleagues and I came to have audience with the President to discuss issues pertinent to our country and pertinent to our respective states.

Governor Dickson of Bayelsa State however, after the meeting told statehouse correspondents that he governor of the region met with the president to deliberate on issues that concern their respective states.

“We had a robust and fruitful discussion with the President and he promised to look into it in any way possible,” the governor said.
