Senator Shehu Sani Sides With Buhari’s Critic Over 2019 Elections

Senator Shehu Sani has defended his colleague, Senator Bukkar Abba Ibrahim (APC Yobe Central) on comment that President Muhammadu Buhari will fail to get the votes of North East come 2019.

Ibrahim, who is one of the frontline politicians and chieftains of the APC from the zone, was quoted in Abuja at the weekend, as saying that even massive rigging may not save Buhari from the imminent defeat.

The former Yobe State Governor was said to have made the comment during the world-wide internet launch of his book ‘Poorlitics’ and 70th Birthday celebration.

Ibrahim has since denied the newspapers reports. He claimed to have been quoted out of contest.

But reacting, Sani who recently dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, said Nigerians should “stop heckling or throwing stones on Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim.”

According to Sani, “He [Ibrahim] is just a meteorologist.
