Eight Policemen, One Other Wounded As Woman Blows Herself Up

The Tunisian Authority has disclosed that a female suicide bomber, who blew herself up has caused varying degrees of injures on nine persons including a eight policemen in central Tunis on Monday.

While confirming the report, the spokesperson of the Tunisian Interior Ministry described the incident as a “terrorist explosion.”

Ambulances could be heard rushing to the scene.

The explosion, according to an eyewitness occured on the central Habib Bourguiba avenue where Police were cordoning off the area near the capital’s landmark Municipal Theatre.

“I was in front of the theater and heard a huge explosion and saw people fleeing,” witness Mohamed Rajib told Reuters.
