Breaking News: Fayose Granted N50 Million Naira Bail

Former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has been granted bail to the sum of N50m and two sureties in like sum who are to present evidence of three years tax clearance.

Also Fayose’s International Passport is to be deposited with the court.

Justice Mojisola Olatoregun, however ruled that Fayose should remain in prison custody pending the fulfillment of the bail condition.

Appeal Court Nullifies Warrant Of Arrest Against INEC Boss

The order for the arrest of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu by the Federal High Court in Abuja has been set aside by an Appeal court sitting in Abuja.

The Nigerian police was order by Justice Stephen Pam of the Federal High Court on August 1, 2018 to arrest the INEC chairman to face contempt charges against him for his failure to appear before the court on three occasion which he was summoned by the court.

I Am Not Against Oshiomhole’s leadership style – Yekini Nabena

Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)Mr. Yekini Nabena has spoken against claims that he opposes the the leadership style of the party’s National Chairman, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole.

According to the assistant spokesperson of the party, in a statement he released in Abuja, the report which was ascribed to him in a news publication, was completely false.

How Fayose Challenged Buhari And APC – Aide

Lere Olayinka, spokesman of Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti state, lauded his  principal  for challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s men by submitting himself for investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Olayinka made the remark at the federal high court, Ikoyi, where Fayose is facing trial for alleged money laundering and charges bordering on financial misappropriation.

Following the position of Northern Youths Leaders Forum (NYLF) that the Peoples Democratic Party, Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar should drop Peter Obi as running mate or lose their support in the 2019 elections, the ex governor of Anambra has reacted.

Peter Obi’s spokesman Valentine Obienyen dismissed the claims by the group as distraction, saying that Obi’s choice had been well received.
