1. Labour threatens another strike over minimum wage

The Organised Labour says it will embark on nationwide strike on November 6, if the Federal Government fails to meet its demand on the new National Minimum Wage of N30,000 agreed upon.

Mr Ayuba Wabba, President, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) made this known in a statement signed with its counterparts, Mr Bobbio Kaigama, President, Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Mr Joe Ajaero, President, United Labour Congress (ULC) on Sunday.

2. Nnamdi Kanu promises to return to Nigeria soon

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu on Sunday in a live broadcast delivered a world press conference, from Jerusalem, Israel.

Mr. Kanu said that he had to flee Nigeria as a result the invasion of his Afara Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State home by the Nigerian Army on September 14, 2018.

He also promised to return to court if he was guaranteed fair hearing and the proceeding of the court was transparent.

3. EFCC lines up 22 witnesses against Fayose

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has listed 22 witnesses who will testify against the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.

EFCC has transferred Fayose to Lagos state where he would be arraigned before the Federal High Court on an 11-count charge bordering on money laundering.

4. Boko Haram attacks two villages in Borno state

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday night attacked Mairari and Femari communities in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno.

The insurgents attacked the communities at about 8:30 pm; killed one person, set houses ablaze and carted away food items.

5. El-Rufai imposes 24 hours curfew on Kaduna state

The Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir Elrufai has declared a dawn to dusk curfew on Kaduna town and its environs with immediate effect.

The governor said the curfew is in the best interest of the state.

6. Oshiomhole says some APC stakeholders ganging against him

The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has alleged that some unnamed party stakeholders were ganging up against him.

He stated that the positive reform of the regime as the chairman of the party had prompted these aggrieved fellows to gang up against him.

7. Senator Shehu Sani dumps APC for another party

Shehu Sani, senator representing Kaduna central, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

His decision to leave the APC is as a result of the controversies that emanated from the party’s primaries for the 2019 elections.

8. IGP deploys AIG to Kaduna state over breakout of violence

The Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris has ordered the deployment of Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Zone 7, Taiwo Lakanu, to lead Police Special Intervention Force in Kaduna State for the restoration of peace in the state.

DCP Jimoh Moshood in a statement said Lakanu is to restore lasting peace to Kasuwar Magani area in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

9. Buhari to visit Lagos on Tuesday

President Muhammadu Buhari is on Tuesday, scheduled to perform the official hand-over of the new Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Border Posts at Seme-Krake and Neope-Akanu in Badagry on Tuesday.

The Lagos State Government said all necessary arrangements to ensure a hitch-free unveiling ceremony had been concluded as the President would be accompanied to the venue by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

10. Idris Kutigi dies at 78

A former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Idris Legho Kutigi, has been confirmed dead.

Danjuma Sallau, the Niger State Commissioner for Information, said Kutigi died in a London Hospital at the age of 78.
