Ooni Of Ife’s Ex-Wife Reacts To The King’s Marriage To A Prophetess

The ex-wife of the Ooni of Ife, Zaynab Wuraola Otiti, has spoken out on the news of the king’s marriage to a 25 year old prophetess.

The report of the marriage had stirred up mix reactions in the country as the Ooni of Ife had married a new wife a day after he celebrated his 44th birthday.

The Director, Media and Public Affairs of the palace, Comrade Moses Olafare, had claimed that the king married the woman because of the spiritual strength she will bring to the kingdom and the fear of God in her.

However, the former queen while reacting to the news in a statement on her Instagram page, stated that there is grace in forgiveness.

She also congratulated the King on his marriage to his new queen, wishing them God’s blessings.

Zaynab wrote: “It was once said that there is nobility compassion, beauty in empathy, and grace in forgiveness.

“Congratulations to the Ooni and his new bride, Shilekunola Naomi Morounke Oluwaseyi. May God bless your union“.
