President Buhari Holds Closed Door Meeting With Security Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari  has had a closed door meeting with security chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting which took place in his office had in attendance, Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan Ali; National Security Adviser, Babangana Monguno; Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar; and the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

Atiku Campaign Organisation Distance Self From Online Grant Scheme

The Presidential Campaign Organisation (APCO) for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has distance itself from the supposed plans to disburse grants to unsuspecting Nigerians.

The organisation in a statement said that its attention have been drown to claims that the organisation have embarked on an on-going scheme that is meant to disburse grants to Nigerians.

El-Rufai Imposes 24-hour Curfew On Kaduna Community

The Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24 hour curfew on the Kasuwan Magani community.

Kasuwan Magani is situated in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state.

The notice of the curfew was signed  by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan.

Ondo State House of Assembly Dissolves 18 LG Care Takers

The Ondo State House of Assembly, on Thursday, dissolved the 18 Local Government Caretaker Committee Chairmen in the state.

The lawmakers had, on April 18, granted another six-month tenure extension to the 18 caretaker committees.

The Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Mr. Oluwasegun Ajimotokin, representing Irele State Constituency,  at the plenary in Akure, moved the motion for the dissolution of the caretaker committees.

Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), human right lawyer, has said that efforts have been set in motion to ensure the release of Former Ekiti State govenor, Ayodele Fayose, from the cutody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
