Senators In Rowdy Session Over Akwa-Ibom APC Primaries

Plenary at the Senate today turned into fist of words over the primaries conducted by the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State.

Senator Bassey Akpan (PDP, Akwa Ibom North-East) had raised a point of order to tell the Senate about ‎how the APC primary allegedly threatened the peace in Akwa Ibom. He also said the PDP was ready for a peaceful contest in the state.

The governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 elections, Babajide Sanwo-Olu may have settled for a fellow contestant in the primaries, Femi Hamzat as his running mate.

Missing General: Army Parades 13 Suspects

About 13 suspects arrested in connection with missing Maj.-Gen. Idris Alkali(retd) have been paraded before journalist in Jos, Plateau State.

The Garrison Commander, 3 Division, Nigeria Army, Rukuba, Brig.-Gen. Umar Muhammed, stated that the suspects would be handed over to the Police for full investigation.

Mr Ayodele Fayose, Former Governor of Ekiti State who reported at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) office in Abuja yesterday, in accordance with his promise is still being interrogated by the commission.
