Zika Virus Outbreak Kills 72 People In India

The outbreak of the dangerous Zika virus in Rajasthan, India is increasing. After 12 new cases have emerged, the number of infected people has increased to 72. It is also seen in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Bihar. The Union Health Ministry has instructed all the states to take steps to control it.

Additional Secretary (Health) Sanjeev Kumar, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, held a meeting with the representatives of the states through video conferencing. He asked for implementation of guidelines under the National Vector-borne Disease Control Program to gain effective control over Zika Virus. An official of the Ministry said that states have been asked to expedite adoption of vector control strategies to prohibit Zicha. These include elimination of larvae, spraying of drug smog and following guidelines under National Vector Disease Control Program.

Symptoms of jika

  • Light fever, restlessness, red rashes in the body and eyes become red.
  • Its common symptoms are like dengue fever.
  • Such as fatigue, fever, red eyes, joint pain, headache and red rash on the body.
  • Some of these victims are entitled to admit only a few patients.

How to defend

  • Do not let the mosquito in the house grow.
  • Use mosquito net during the night.
  • Do not let the water stay anywhere in the house.
  • Keep cleanliness around.
  • Do not use mosquitoes to kill things
  • Do not donate blood to the body without checking.
