Mourinho Demands New Contract For Juan Mata And Ander Herrera
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has called on the club’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, demanding for new deals for Juan Mata and Ander Herrera, Evening Standard reports.
Mata, who has not decided his future at Old Trafford, has less than a year in his current contract at United. He will be free to negotiate with teams beginning from next year.
Herrera, on the other hand, is set to leave the Red Devils on a free transfer next summer to join Spanish La Liga side, Athletic Bilbao.
He is into the final year of his current contract at Manchester United and with his future thrown into doubt under Mourinho.
According to Calciomercato, the 29-year-old will not extend his contract with United and will look to leave next summer to join Bilbao.
Herrera has featured in two of United’s three Premier League games so far this campaign. Mourinho’s side will take on his former club, Chelsea, in Premier League fixture this weekend.
