Group Promises To Support Atiku Against Buhari

The Grassroots Network 4 Atiku (GNA), a political group supporting the 2019 presidential ambition of  former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has vowed to deliver not less than 10 million votes for him.

According to the group, it will work to secure the grass root votes for the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in the 2019 general elections in the country.

Speaking in Bauchi on Monday, the National Coordinator of the group, Barrister Isa Mohammed said the group is mobilising support for Atiku from people that have Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).

The group also spoke against the move by President Muhammadu Buhari to restrict the travel of 50 Nigerians through the executive order 6.

According to a statement issued by the group, the President is using the new order against identified opposition members and this contradicts the 1999 constitution which guarantees their fundamental human right.

Barrister Mohammed said “we are in a democracy and Nigerians has right to elect leaders of their choice not by force but by their goodwill. The government’s move is a sign that Nigerians want to change Buhari with Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, since after the emergence of Atiku as PDP Presidential flag bearer, Buhari-led government and accomplices have been in panic.”
