Dead Man Included On President Buhari’s Travel Ban List

The Nigerian presidency has goofed again as the name of a dead Nigerian was included on the Executive Order 6 (EO6) issued yesterday by President Muhammadu Buhari.

President Buhari had issued an executive order restricting 50 prominent Nigerians from travelling out of the country.

A late former Chief Judge of Enugu state, Justice Innocent Umezulike was included on the travel ban list.

Naija News recalls that about eight dead Nigerians were appointed by President Buhari to the boards of several government agencies in 2017.

The Secretary General of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha explained then that the list was compiled in 2015 before the personalities died.

Meanwhile the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has condemned the travel ban.

The organisation also said that the Executive Order is clearly arbitrary, repressive and illegal.
