Simon Lalong Re-elected As APC Wins Plateau (Full Results)

So far, local government elections in Plateau state have recorded low turnout of voters as most polling units in the State were scanty.

The elections are holding in 14 out of the 17 Local Government Areas while Jos North, Jos South, Riyom and Barkin-Ladi Local government areas are left out.

Governor Simon Lalong had hinged the decision to leave out the four local governments on “prevailing security situation’’.

Correspondents of the News Agency of Nigeria, who went round some polling units in Pankshin, Mangu, Bassa, Langtang North, Langtang South and Shendam LGAs, observed that the turnout of voters was very low.

At Youth Centre polling unit in Pankshin central, it was found that less than 10 prospective voters were on the queue as at 11:10am.

The situation was the same in the two polling units of Nerr in Pankshin, where 12 voters were found milling around and waiting for the electoral officers.
