Adel Amrouche Quits As Libya Coach

Just a matter of days before the AFCON 2019 qualifier game between Libya and the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Libya coach Adel Amrouche has resigned from his position.

The Libyan team is billed to play Nigeria on Friday in a match is billed for the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state.

The departure of Amrouche, was confirmed by the Libyan Football Federation and the coach himself further stated that he was frustrated by working conditions with the team.

The 50-year-old coach, was only appointed in May and led his team to a 0-0 draw with South Africa in his first match in charge last month.

The return led of the match between Nigeria and Libya is billed for Sfax, Tunisia on Monday as the Libyans have been forced to play away from home due to the tension and fighting in their country.

Libya already have four points from their first two games ahead of South Africa on goal difference with Nigeria one point behind.

The Seychelles are last in the group without any points in the race for the AFCON 2019 tournament in Cameroon.
