Mbappe Scores Four Goals As PSG Trash Lyon 5-0

Paris Saint-Germain, had a 5-0 win at Lyon on Sunday in Paris and maintained their 100% advantage in the French Championship.

Neymar opened the scoring through a penalty, while Kylian Mbappe had more attention to himself after scoring four other goals of the match.

Even before the interval, at 44 minutes, French midfielder Lucas Tousart received his second yellow card and was sent off, so the two teams had ten men on the field.

In this way, Mbappé took advantage of the equality scenario and scored four times in the second half, all between 15 and 28 minutes.

Also on Sunday, Bordeaux received Nantes and won the match 3-0. In crisis, Monaco did not take advantage of the field command and lost 2-1 to Rennes. Olympique de Marseille, at home, beat Caen 2-0.

PSG leads the French Championship with a perfect campaign: nine wins in nine games. Second-placed Lille have 19 points, while Olympique Marseille are in third place with 16, the same number as Montpellier, who finished fourth.

Lyon are in sixth place with 14 points and two-season champions, Monaco are in the relegation zone in 18th place with six points.

Because of the FIFA dates, the French Championship will be on hold until the 19th, when Lyon will return to the field, this time as principal, to face Nimes.

PSG will play on the 21st, against Amiens, at home.
