Jimi Agbaje Wins Lagos PDP Governorship Ticket

Jimi Agbaje has emerged as the winner of Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship primary for Lagos State, Naija News Understands

Jimi Agbaje, a pharmacist, has emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship election in Lagos state.

He polled 1,100 votes to defeat his rival Adedeji Doherty who polled 742 votes.

Agbaje was the PDP candidate in the 2015 governorship election but lost to incumbent governor Akinwunmi Ambode. The primary election which lasted for two days was supervised by a panel chaired by Victor Kassim Oyofo.

Agbaje who was the party’s candidate in the 2015 election but he lost to Akinwunmi Ambode, incumbent governor of the state will be in the race with Jide Sanwo-Olu who recently emerged as the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
