Europa League: Possible Lineups, Injuries In Chelsea Vs Videoton Fixture

Chelsea will be playing with Hungarian champions, Videoton in their Europa Champions League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues will head to the game following their 1-1 draw against Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend. Maurizio Sarri’s men had a perfect start to their European campaign by defeating PAOK two weeks ago.

Chelsea’s head coach insisted that he will make several changes to his team’s starting line against Videoton.

Goalkeeper, Willy Caballero is expected to start in goal for the West London club after featuring in their EFL Cup win against Liverpool at Anfield two weeks ago.

Defender, Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen are options in the heart of defence for the home side.

Midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and forward, Pedro, are both expected to miss the clash due to calf and shoulder injury respectively.

Striker, Alvaro Morata is expected to lead the attack line for the host and will be assisted by Victor Moses from the wing position.

Meanwhile, Videoton head to the game following a 1-0 victory against Diosgyor in their domestic league on Sunday.

Videoton’s coach, Marko Nikolic made two changes to his starting lineup for the 1-0 win at Diosgyor on Sunday, bringing in Mate Patkai and Paulo Vinicius for Georgi Milanov and Boban Nikolov.

The 39-year-old must now decide whether to stick with a winning formula or make changes, knowing that Chelsea will dominate possession at Stamford Bridge.

Tonight’s clash will mark the first time that these two sides will meet in a competitive action.

The only time Videoton had met an English side was in 1985 when they overcame Manchester United on penalties in the UEFA Cup quarter-finals following a 1-1 aggregate draw.
