English Premier League side, Arsenal, will play Azerbaijan side, Qarabag FK, this evening in their Europa League fixture at the Baku Olympic Stadium.
The Gunners are heading into the game following a 2-0 victory against Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Arsenal boss, Unai Emery will be without midfielder, Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Thursday’s fixture, with the play-maker absent due to the ongoing political conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Goalkeeper, Bernd Leno is likely to feature between the sticks due to the hamstring injury sustained by first-choice keeper, Petr Cech.
Defenders: Hector Bellerin and Shkodran Mustafi could be rested having played every minute in the Premier League this campaign, while Sokratis Papastatopoulos may be brought back into the team having missed the last two games through injury.
Midfielders: Mohamed Elneny and Matteo Guendouzi are expected to be seen in the Midfield for Arsenal.
Striker, Danny Welbeck should feature in place of Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette, with Emile Smith-Rowe and Eddie Nketiah taking a place on the substitutes’ bench.
Meanwhile, Qarabag head to the game after defeating Sabah Baku 2-0 in their domestic league last weekend.
Today’s clash will represent the first time that these two clubs have met in a competitive match.
Arsenal are yet to face any opposition from Azerbaijan, but Qarabag are no strangers to taking on teams from the Premier League.
