Sanwo-Olu Confirmed As Lagos APC 2019 Governorship Candidate

The National Working Committee panel of the All Progressives Congress has declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the Lagos governorship primary election which held on Tuesday.

Chairman of the panel, Clement Ebri confirmed this while addressing a press conference on the Lagos primaries on Wednesday in Lagos.

As earlier reported by Naija News, Mr. Tunde Balogun, the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, has on Tuesday night announced Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the party’s governorship primary.

According to the chairman, the sitting governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, got 72,901 votes, thereby losing to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who Scored 970,851 votes.

There were initial controversies over the declaration of the results as the NWC panel kicked against the result, claiming elections did not hold as some grey areas were yet to be ironed out.

But that has been put to rest now as the NWC panel has also confirmed the result as declared by the state chapter of the party.
